Located just around the corner in a 200 year old cafe overlooking the canal, Lock 6 Cafe serves simple fresh food made in-house daily. The vibe is relaxed and unpretentious, the coffee is good (Ariosa, roasted in Ashbourne, Co Meath) and the food is wholesome and filling - think porridge with stewed rhubarb, or scrambled eggs with chorizo. Pastries come courtesy of Dublin’s Bakelicious artisan bakery.
Open Monday - Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm

It's fair to say that Cinnamon is a bit of a Ranelagh institution. It's popular with everyone from laptop warriors, to young mums, to local business executives having a 'breakfast meeting' (any excuse to pick up one of their freshly baked raspberry scones!) . It's big enough to get lost in, so find a cosy corner and enjoy a leisurely breakfast, or grab a coffee and pastry and go. You won't be disappointed.
Breakfast Served 8AM -11.30AM Monday - Friday
Breakfast & Brunch 9AM-4.30PM Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays
If you're looking for some soakage (and possibly a Bloody Mary) to ease the pain after a big night out, look no further than Dillinger's, Ranelagh's own New York Style diner. Portions are enormous and with classic dishes like American Style Pancakes, Huevos Rancheros, and Steak ‘N’ Eggs to choose from, you are guaranteed to leave happier than you came in.
Brunch is served Saturday & Sunday only 11:00 – 16:00
We are HUGE fans of Bibi's. It's one of those 'hidden gems' that locals tend to keep a closely guarded secret, and for good reason. The Turkish Eggs are legendary, as are the French Toast, Granola, Sausage Rolls, Scones, Cheesecake Brownies... you get the picture. Be prepared to wait for a table at the weekend. And be prepared to want to go back for seconds.
